Doors - removing the door panel

So the first thing to do was remove the rubber seal that runs around the outside of the door. As you can see from this pic, it is broken by the hinges. It should be one continuous loop of rubber.

The winder is first off. After peeling up the plastic a fixing screw is revealed.

Winder removed.

Next is the door release. Carefully remove the inner plastic.

Then there's a screw that holds the surround in place.

Using a screw driver I pulled the panel away from the door. You just need to ensure the panel is pulled away from the door close to the fixing.

Once the panel is loose all the way around, it can be lifted up wards, as seen here.

This is the view of the underside of the door panel. There is a metal plate that slides over a fitting on the door.

A close up of the fitting on the door.

The panel removed.

The plastic sheet is held in place by glue.
