Rear quater panel - more filler

After sanding down the edges are a very smooth transition to the metal but the middle of these areas where not touched by the sander. I guess this indicates that more filler is required!

The area below is filled just for the purpose of preventing water mud getting in to any corners and starting rust.

These are alcohol cleaning wipes from my work. They are normally used to wipe away thermal paste from processors.

After sanding they do a very good job of removing all contaminates.

The next layer of filler is applied.

Engine bay - more filler

there are a few holes around the engine bay that need sorting out. i have already tried the fibreglass filler but it didn't set very well (perhaps I used too little hardner) and then it remained sticky for a week later. I ended up removing most of it and using the mesh, attached to masking tape on the rear of any holes. Then filling on top.

Door pillars - removing the doors

I had to remove the door in order to access the pillars and surrounding area.

A combination of grinder and wire wheels where used to remove surface contaminants for more filler.
